National Power Training Institute(NPTI)

National Power Training Institute (NPTI), an ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 organization, is a National Apex body for Training and Human Resources Development in Power Sector with its Corporate Office at Faridabad.

NPTI is totally committed and consciously aware of Manpower Development & Training requirements and has several short-term and long-term Training Programs to meet the urgent and long term needs and objectives of the Power Sector and allied Industries. It has a track record of having trained more than 100,000 power professional in regular programs for over 4 decades. NPTI has Professional Expertise in the field of Training and HRD in Power Sector with Industry Specific Technical Interface and is the only Institution of its kind in catering to the core Power Sector and allied Energy Sector.

NPTI serves as a National Certification Authority for the purpose of certification of competence to ensure availability of properly trained personnel to man the Indian Electricity Industry under Rule 3, Sub Rule 2A of Indian Electricity Rules, 1956 amended in 1981. NPTI identified as a Premier Nodal Institute for Advanced Learning and Management studies for higher echelons of Power Sector in the advanced and frontier technologies has also established a `Centre for Advanced Management and Power Studies' (CAMPS).

Admission/Elligibillity
A candidate should have an engineering bachelor’s degree  or equivalent from a recognised institute with atleast 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates in their final year of engineering can also apply.
Candidates are shortlisted for MBA programme of NPTI only on the basis of their CAT scores. Candidates have to also apply separately for admission in NPTI. The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in CAT have to appear in a further selection process consisting of a Group Discussion and Personal Interview after which the final selections are made.
